The MĂ©ribel Nordic ski area is an perfect place to enjoy the pleasure of skiing. Whether you're a beginner to cross-country skiing or an experienced skier familiar the trails, you'll enjoy runs adapted to your level, from fun runs to those requiring a higher level of technique.

The youngest skiers and beginners can take advantage of the free circuits, for a gentle introduction to the pleasures of cross-country skiing. From MĂ©ribel Altiport or Mottaret, you can also take skating or classic cross-country skiing lessons with an ESF instructor for personalised coaching to help you acquire all the skills you need for this sport!

In Méribel, you can explore two different areas for cross-country skiing and discover various itineraries: Altiport and Tueda. The first offers 25 kilometers of trails and reaches an altitude of 2,008 meters, while the second has two trails situated at 1,750 meters around the Tueda Lake. Along your route, you’ll have the chance to observe the local Alpine wildlife and flora. At the Altiport biathlon loop, you can even try rifle shooting, making for a sporty and discovery-filled day!

Nordic skiing encompasses a number of skiing disciplines practised without the use of ski lifts, including cross-country skiing, a discipline practised with fine, lightweight equipment on groomed, marked trails. The skier advances by pushing one foot after the other with the help of his or her poles, or by taking a gliding step.

From the Vosges to the Pyrenees, passing through the Jura, the Southern Alps, the Northern Alps, and the Alpes de Haute-Provence, France offers a wide selection of Nordic skiing areas. With most of the cross-country ski domain situated at an altitude exceeding 1,850 meters, the snow quality is consistently ensured on the Nordic trails of Les 3 Vallées (Val Thorens, Les Menuires, Méribel, Courchevel).

In Méribel, the Nordic area opens its doors on December 2, allowing you to enjoy the winter season until April 21. Connected to Courchevel’s cross-country ski trails, the most adventurous skiers can take advantage of loops winding through forests and alpine pastures.
